Herefordshire Food Charter. Healthy food for people, place and planet

farming somersetDo you farm in a way that restores your soil, increases biodiversity, minimises carbon emissions and also feeds people?

Or do you want to support farmers that do in what and where you buy your food?

A new website has launched, by a group of farmers in Somerset to make it easier for both these things to happen.

It has a map - which is currently very sparsely populated but we can change that :)

The website also contains an explanation of what regenerative agriculture means as well as details of courses.

It's not a farming standard - it's completely up to the farm to share their info, which means there are no barriers to a farm registering but also it means that it's harder to understand what each farm is offering or doing.  So - a great opportunity to build relationships with producers locally!

Would you like to see more of this in Herefordshire?  We'll be hosting an event on where we buy, how we sell soon - email your interest or watch the blog for more info.

Join the Alliance and help us make more of these ideas happen!
