Ethos and the Living Room are creating a network of Community Larders across the county, building on their work of food surplus redistribution over the past few years. More about this initiative to join up great projects in Herefordshire soon!
They are recruiting for a Coordinator for this Community Food Larder work.
What they say:
"The Living Room is a community cafe, community food larder and community space, all in the centre of Hereford. We work on a model of asset-based community development, where we empower our community to help itself, seeing people not for their deficits but for their assets.
We achieve this in two ways. First, we improve lives on the frontline through delivery of services. Secondly, we use our knowledge and asset-based work to change the system, to fix the complex web that can trap and disempower those it was set up to help.
With the heart of a charity and the mindset of a business, we are uniquely placed to deliver on this challenging agenda. Visit our website for more info The Living Room: Home"
