The Fold are launching a CSA - community supported agriculture where you can be part of a thriving farm, and get vegetables, without living on a farm!
"As a Member of the Fold Community Farm, you purchase a “veg share” which gives you a weekly veg box of freshly-picked, organic, seasonal produce, delivered to your chosen collection point.
As a bonus, you will enjoy free community events, such as guided farm tours, communal meals and volunteer days on the farm! You’ll also get to vote on how the scheme is run."
Do you know of others in Herefordshire? This is the model that the new market garden in Hereford will be based on, find out more at Growing Local's site.
"WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN MY VEG SHARE?
Abundance and variety will vary with the seasons and this will be reflected in your veg shares. You will be joining us on a journey of Worcestershire’s seasonal produce, relishing in the glut of courgettes in the summer shares and delighting in the many shades of beige and green during the winter.
Although the winter shares may be limited in variety, this will be made up by the diversity and abundance of produce in the summer shares. So while your veg share in April may be worth less than its price, this will be evened out by shares in August or September.
Don’t worry, we will provide you with fun recipes and preserve ideas to make your seasonal produce truly exciting. We’d love to hear your ideas too! Send them to
