Update:  We're now planning three feasts, probably over three weeks between October and November in three different locations.

We'll be looking for producers who have food that is working with nature in Herefordshire, and are looking to increase their routes to market and sales.  So please get in touch if you're interested in selling us your produce.

________

Producers - Organisers - Farmers - Venues - Retailers -

Please help make a FEAST happen in late Autumn, showcasing nature-friendly food production in the county for everyone and leading to more visibility of the food that is building our economy AND our planet.

The Food Alliance has a broad vision;  part of the vision is

  • "food production, processing and distribution systems that contribute to landscape and wildlife diversity and minimise wast...
  • an increased understanding of the links between food and personal and planetary well-being."

Part of this work is about increasing our awareness within the county of where the good food is - this project would be about just that,  Stories of farming, of waste management, of food - in amongst a beautiful feast of good value food and fun!

Please get in touch before 5th June  and help the alliance shape a project that will bring income to great local producers, increase their ongoing income and build all of our knowledge about how great food is produced.

First up we'll need:

  • A great bid to the shared prosperity fund so that we can give this the resources it deserves, make sure producers are paid well and the event is accessible
  • A clear brief for producers to get on board
  • A team to plan and deliver a great event that is accessible and build our food movement.

If you can be involved at this stage, maybe it's part of a role that you are already doing and are happy to support, or would like to hep for a few hours as a volunteer - please get in touch!
