Back in 2021 a group of us looked at the priorities for our county in making sustainable food happen in a Herefordshire Green Network gathering.

Following that, the Citizens Climate Assembly for Herefordshire named Food and Farming as a key priority in its recommendations - including purchasing local sustainable food, and engaging schools.
Already, priorities to reduce food miles and the length of the supply chain are being addressed - with the Alliance recently facilitating funding for a regional food procurement hub.
