kids and soilSupport from Herefordshire Council (Public Health) is available  for community projects doing the following:

  • Creating lasting meaningful connections for people to improve emotional wellbeing and sense of community belonging
  • Strengthen reach to families in need

Food-related activities have a big positive impact in both these areas - through connecting to nature, improving community connection, improving health - if you're working in these areas and would like support on a bid, or to be part of a bid please get in touch.

Grants of up to £1,000 or between £1,000 and £20,000 are available.

Who we Are

The Herefordshire Food Charter is an initiative of the Herefordshire Food Alliance, a network of individuals and organisations from across the county involved in local, community and sustainable food action.

The Alliance is a member of the national Sustainable Food Places network and is co-ordinated by New Leaf Sustainable Development with support from Herefordshire Council and Sustainable Food Places.
