alice and rupert"Tuston Market Garden in Herefordshire was started from an arable field in 2018. We
have created a productive veg plot, 3 polytunnels, soft fruit and flower areas,
meadows and woodland. We are certified Organic and practice no-dig methods,
selling our produce at farmers markets, local veg boxes and restaurants.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Seasonal Grower to work alongside Alice (the Head Grower)
and other family members. The role will be 3 days (22.5 hours) per week from mid
March to September.
The role will include propagation, bed preparation, planting, weeding, compost
production, harvesting and markets, as well as other infrastructure activities as

Person Specification

We are a small family team in a rural location, so we are looking for someone who:
 Has experience of working on a farm or smallholding
 Is able to do physical work outdoors in all weather conditions
 Works well as part of a team
 Works well alone
 Able to follow instructions e.g. a planting plan accurately
 Holds a driving licence
 Has experience of selling on market stalls (desirable)

Hours and Rate of Pay

£12/hr 3 days (22.5 hours) per week from mid March if possible to September.
Preferably to include Wednesdays and/or Fridays but some flexibility. Additional
days for markets mostly on weekends.
Space to park up van/caravan if necessary.
