How we grow, make and eat food just isn’t working for everyday people anymore. In a new film, Baroness Rosie Boycott, author Chris van Tulleken, Soil Association's Rob Percival, Chatham House's Tim Benton and health influencer Eddie Abbew tell us why they think getting food right is so important for climate, nature and health, now and for future generations.
We're also very excited to share that this week, our next round of citizen workshops begin as The Food Conversation travels across all four countries of the UK to find out how citizens think food needs to change.
So far, we've heard that people want farmers to be paid fairly for their work, for food to be produced in ways that limit damage to nature and climate, and for everyone to be able to afford healthy, nutritious food. The next set of workshops will ask citizens not whether the way food works now needs to change, but how.
It's time to put citizen voice at the heart of the policy debate on food. If you think our work with citizens could be useful or interesting to your networks, please share our posts on social media."
