We were delighted to attend the Sustainable Food Places Day of Action and Celebration in London last week. In attendance were 60 food partnership and community reps, 45 MPs, 19 people representing 8 food and farming NGOs (including SFP programme partners) and 2 civil servants. All in all a successful event for strengthening our network’s public affairs and advocacy voice and visibility.
Although our Herefordshire MPs were unable to attend, we spoke with the Shrewsbury MP Julia Buckley about funding opportunities for food partnerships and our Marches Food![]()
Partnership work across the region too.
We also connected to other food partnerships, our neighbours in Wales and beyond in what was a brilliant celebration of the scope and potential of the Sustainable Food Place work around the country.
Herefordshire Food Alliance is one of 123 Food Partnerships across the country, all working towards making their local, and collectively national, food systems work better for all, from the soil up.
Our attendance at this event was made possible by the Herefordshire Community Fund
