living room processing 2023Our pioneering ‘Picking and Processing’ Project continues...

We are delighted to let you know that, we're planning another series of picking, gleaning and processing events across Herefordshire.

 More about volunteer roles here

Following on from our successful project that took place last Autumn, we are once again building a network of community groups, orchards, farmers and food banks to make sure that if there's surplus food, it gets used.

We'll be connecting with community growing projects and orchards in Leominster, Hereford, Bromyard and Ledbury.  Check here as dates are confirmed...

If you are a farmer who thinks you may have surplus, please get in touch - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  and we'll put you in touch with Natalie who is coordinating.

If you'd like to get in touch to help out, in organising picking or processing, please also email.

This year, we're also on the lookout for the quick-turn-around opportunities that farms often have when let down by supermarkets if their crop isn't just right

If you'd like to be involved in getting food to people's plates that need it - please get in touch to volunteer!

You will find more information about how to deal with surplus in Herefordshire here

The goal of the alliance is to build a movement of good food - food that benefits nature and humans, so this project is about building the capacity of what's already going on and linking it.

We hope we can work together soon!
