We recently announced our first date in the diary for our Feasts on the Farm project at Lower Blakemere Farm - exploring all things worms and composting, with HFA Feasts on the Farm to be serving up a delicious soup freshly made from local ingredients too!

At the Herefordshire Food Alliance we advocate for eating lots of fresh, Herefordshire produce, but when food comes fresh from the ground it needs a bit of preparing! What to do with all those peelings?!
We thought we'd tackle this question by teaming up with Heather Gorringe, owner of Wiggly Wigglers as well as the Master Composters at Garden Organic to deliver a crash course on home composting for each feast attendee. Not only will you come away with a tummy full of delicious, freshly made soup but you'll also learn about:
- The Composting System (Overview)
- Worm Composting
- Bokashi (Handling All Food Waste)
- Easy DIY systems (beds, pallet bays, bins)
- Joining It All Together (The Practical System)
- Troubleshooting & Confidence Building
The cost is £20 which includes the training, a certificate of completion and food throughout the day. If the cost is a barrier, please get in touch as we have bursary places available and want to make the day accessible to all.
