We're looking forward to seeing Herefordshire Food Alliance members for an in-person, summer social on the evening of the 8th June.
With huge thanks to Lou and the Growing Local Team for having us!

 What?
An informal, social gathering, with a visit to the Growing Local site, with a bring-and-share picnic supper.
If you are able to do so, please bring some food that you are happy to share.

When?
Monday 8th June. 6.30 to 9pm.

NB Please RSVP so we have know what numbers to expect and can be looking out for you. RSVP HERE.

Where?
Growing Local Southside Farm - situated between Newton Farm and Grafton Lane in South Hereford – at the end of the Great Western Way foot/cycle path.
NB the site doesn't have a postcode yet but here are the location details and directions from  https://growinglocal.org.uk/how-to-find-us/

If driving: You are able to use the car park of Belmont Wanderers Football Club – it is just off Vernons Williams Close in Newton Farm, Hereford (HR2 7BF).
Coming from Hereford on the Belmont Road, turn left at the Tesco’s roundabout into Southolme Road. Go over the little roundabout, up the hill, through the chicanes and then turn right onto Vernon Williams Close. Follow the close round to the left and you will see the car park at the end. The car park gate is located at what3words: ///wanted.making.baking

From the car park turn left and follow the footpath. When you reach a junction in the footpath and a blue sign post follow the Grafton sign to the path on the right.  When the path leaves the football fields and you walk between the two big oak trees, you will see our main Southside Farm growing field is on the right.

If cycling or walking – we are situated at the end of the Great Western Way foot/cycle path, go past the Belmont Wanderers football fields and you will see our fields on either side the path as you head towards Grafton – we are likely to be working in the main growing field – field 1 on the map below.
We had considered meeting in Hereford and walking in as a group along the Great Western Way. However we've mapped the route fro Sainsburies or Asda and it is a surprising 2 miles each way. However, if you are still interested in this option - do let us know when you RSVP!

If you have limited mobility - please let us know so we can send you more detail, including different access details.
