Herefordshire Food Charter. Healthy food for people, place and planet

seed swap shillisHereford Seed Swap

Saturday 3rd February 10-2, The Courtyard Hereford

Ideally pack your saved seeds in small envelopes and add the essential details:

  • name of the plant
  • variety if known
  • year of harvest

Commercial packets or partial packets are fine too, of course, but please make sure they aren’t too old. Nothing more disheartening than going to the trouble of sowing only to get a no show!

Cuttings/plants are also welcome on the table, as are gardening books. Don’t forget a small bag to take your seeds home in.

After the swap, some leftover seed will be available for local groups supporting the elderly, those with disabilities, refugees and new garden/allotment groups. (Requests should be made in advance through Keith Arrowsmith at the seed swap email)

You can find details of the swap and ask questions on Instagram and Facebook or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
